Broadband Internet Access: See What You're Missing
By Randall Stevens

More and more people are getting broadband internet access every day. Broadband refers to high-speed internet services. However, broadband offers much more than just high speeds.

Types

There are three types of broadband internet access - cable, DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) and satellite. Cable internet access is the most widely used broadband service. If you opt for cable broadband access, you can access internet via your cable television wires. This is a very reliable form of internet access which does not interfere with your television signal at all.

DSL internet access is another popular choice amongst customers. In this you access your internet via your phone line. Again you do not have to worry about any interference in your phone line. Moreover, you can use your phone and the internet at the same time. Remember that dial-up internet connection in which you had to keep your phone line free in order to surf the net. Well, you do not have to do so with this connection.

If you do not have cable in your area, you can opt for satellite

The Benefits Of Finding A DSL Provider
By Derek Both

If you have been anywhere near a computer in the past five years, there is hardly any way that you could have gone without having at least heard something of DSL internet. There are many DSL internet providers out there, and there are many types of other internet providers as well. People have a tendency to lump all of the various types of high speed internet into the category of DSL and with good reason. Although they do not work the same, to the untrained eye cable internet and DSL internet appear to be just the same type of thing and they get the same benefits from using them.

This is just about where the similarities between the two types of internet end, because DSL internet is multiple times faster than even the most hyped up dial up internet access could ever claim

Low Light Photography
By Alex Tabony

Taking good pictures in low light can be achieved in a number of ways. To maintain a proper exposure you may need to increase aperture, reduce shutter speed, use higher ISO or use a flash just as with a film camera. However with digital photography there are additional considerations.

Increasing aperture (lower F-numbers) opens the lens' internal blades that restrict light from entering the camera. By letting more light in, you can obtain the proper exposure while keeping other camera settings the same. The two issues to consider when using a reduced f-number, is the reduction of depth of field and that most lenses do not perform as well at their widest apertures.

Lowering shutter speed without making other adjustments can also help in getting the proper exposure. The rule of thumb is to set shutter time to no less than the focal length of your lens. So if you are using a 50mm lens, you should generally try to keep the shutter speed above 1/50 of a second. This will help prevent motion blur of the image due to camera shake (tripod
